IT PiAST and Lantmannen at Microsoft EMEA Convergence 2006 in Munich

On November, 7 at Convergence 2006 EMEA, Satya Nadella, corporate vice president of Microsoft Business Solutions at Microsoft Corp., discussed how European businesses are looking to supply chain management and ERP software as key tools for achieving environmental initiatives in their companies.

As part of his opening panel, Nadella presented IT PiAST Lantmannen Dynamics AX solution as one of the three model implementations (the other two were WizzAir and Essellte). In his presentation, Nadella also discussed how the strategy for Microsoft Dynamics to increase personal productivity by combining roles-based business processes with online services acts a catalyst for improving a corporation's overall productivity by empowering users with a new generation of collaborative business processes.

Also on 7th November, Microsoft issued an official press release with Lantmannen being one of the Green ERP solution. It was explained how the IT PiAST implementation of MS Dynamics AX helped to become more enviroment friendly and comply to the strict requirements of HACCP and BRC. Before Lantmannen Unibake Poland implemented Microsoft Dynamics AX, locating products within the manufacturer’s warehouse was often difficult and time-consuming. Products to be delivered to customers were frequently the last in to the warehouse, leading to inefficiencies in operations, supply chain delays and a high degree of waste as products exceeded their expiration dates. By deploying Microsoft Dynamics AX, Lantmännen Unibake Poland gained full measurement capability and control of every part of its storage for management of product quality. Microsoft Dynamics AX also enables the company to track fuel efficiency per delivery vehicle, resulting in a 40 percent decrease in the amount of fuel used since January 2006. Waste is now down significantly, while revenue is up 43 percent.
On November 8, the last day of the EMEA Convergence, IT PiAST customer - Lantmannen Unibake was a member of the Microsoft Customer Panel. It was a great opportunity to gain an insight into the IT PiAST implementation of Microsoft Dynamics AX.
The attendants had a chance to learn how the products of IT PiAST have helped run Lantmannen Unibake Poland's business more efficiently. The president of Lantmannen Unibake Poland - Witold Lisiecki (second from right) explained how IT PiAST helped to deliver effective value and competitive differentia-tion, and enhanced the abilities of Lantmannen Unibake Poland to meet changing global business requirements.
